Lecreuaset Shipping Policy
At Lecreuaset, we understand that receiving your Kitchenware, Cookware, Stoneware, and Wine Accessories in a timely, undamaged condition is key to your satisfaction. This Shipping Policy outlines the details of our delivery process—from where we ship to how costs are calculated—so you can plan for your order with clarity, especially when ordering fragile or bulky items like stoneware sets or large cookware.
1. Shipping Destinations
Currently, we offer shipping to addresses within the United States (including Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories such as Puerto Rico and Guam). We do not ship internationally at this time, but we are evaluating options to expand our delivery reach in the future. If you have questions about shipping to a specific U.S. location—especially remote areas where delivery of heavy items (like cast-iron cookware) may require special handling—please contact us at [email protected] before placing your order.
2. Order Processing Time
Before your order ships, we take extra care to prepare and inspect items—especially fragile stoneware and precision-made wine accessories—to ensure they’re ready for safe transit.
- Standard Processing: Most orders are processed and packed within 1–3 business days (Monday–Friday, excluding weekends and major U.S. holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day). This includes checking cookware for defects, wrapping stoneware in protective padding, and verifying order details (e.g., correct size of a frying pan, number of pieces in a kitchenware set).
- Peak Period Delays: During busy seasons—such as holiday shopping (October–December) or after new product launches (e.g., limited-edition stoneware collections)—processing time may extend to 3–5 business days due to higher order volume. We recommend placing holiday orders at least 2 weeks in advance to avoid missing gifting deadlines.
- Order Confirmation: You’ll receive an email confirming your order immediately after purchase, and a separate shipping confirmation (with a tracking link) once your package leaves our warehouse.
3. Shipping Methods & Delivery Timelines
We partner with trusted carriers (including UPS, USPS, and FedEx) to deliver your order, and we select the most appropriate carrier based on the size, weight, and fragility of your items. Delivery timelines vary by shipping method and your location:
- Standard Ground Shipping: This is our default method for most items, including small kitchenware (e.g., wooden spoons, wine openers) and medium-sized cookware (e.g., 8-inch pans). Delivery typically takes 3–7 business days after shipping. For remote areas (e.g., rural Alaska, parts of Hawaii), delivery may take an additional 1–2 business days due to limited carrier routes.
- Heavy/Bulky Item Shipping: For larger or heavier products—such as cast-iron Dutch ovens, full stoneware dinner sets, or large stockpots—we use carriers specializing in heavy-item delivery. Timelines for these orders are 5–10 business days after shipping, as they may require additional handling and transit time.
- Fragile Item Handling: All stoneware, ceramic cookware, and glass wine accessories are packed with extra protective materials (bubble wrap, foam inserts, reinforced boxes) to prevent damage. While we take every precaution, delivery of fragile items may take an extra 1–2 days compared to non-fragile items, as carriers prioritize careful handling over speed.
Please note: Delivery timelines are estimates provided by our carriers. Delays may occur due to weather conditions (e.g., winter storms affecting ground shipping), carrier disruptions, or incorrect delivery addresses—we’ll notify you promptly if we anticipate a significant delay.
4. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on three key factors, tailored to the unique nature of our products:
- Package Weight & Dimensions: Heavier or bulkier items (e.g., a 10-piece stoneware set vs. a single wine corkscrew) will incur higher shipping costs, as they require more packaging materials and occupy more space in carrier vehicles.
- Delivery Location: Shipping to remote areas (e.g., Alaska, Hawaii) or U.S. territories costs more than shipping to continental U.S. addresses, due to longer transit distances and limited carrier service.
- Carrier Requirements: Fragile items (e.g., glass decanters, ceramic bowls) may require specialized shipping services (e.g., “fragile handling” add-ons from carriers), which are reflected in the shipping cost.
To view the exact shipping cost for your order: Add your desired items to the cart, enter your shipping address, and proceed to the checkout page (you do not need to complete payment to see the cost). Shipping costs are non-refundable, even if you later return the order—unless the return is due to our error (e.g., sending the wrong item, defective product; see our Refund Policy for details).
5. Address Accuracy & Delivery Issues
To avoid delays or lost packages—especially critical for time-sensitive orders or fragile items—please double-check your shipping address at checkout, including:
- Street number and name (no abbreviations that carriers may misinterpret).
- Apartment/unit number (if applicable—missing this often leads to packages being returned).
- City, state, and ZIP code (confirm with USPS’s address lookup tool if unsure).
5.1 Incorrect or Incomplete Addresses
If your package is returned to us due to an incorrect address, we will contact you via email to confirm the correct details. You will be responsible for paying any additional shipping costs to resend the package. If we do not receive a response within 7 days, your order will be canceled, and a refund (minus the original shipping cost) will be issued.
5.2 Lost or Missing Packages
If your tracking link shows the package as “delivered” but you have not received it:
- First, check with household members, neighbors, or building management—carriers often leave packages with doormen, in secure drop boxes, or at nearby pickup locations (e.g., USPS access points).
- If you still cannot locate the package, contact us at [email protected] within 5 days of the “delivered” status. We will work with the carrier to investigate, but please note: We cannot issue a refund or reship the order until the carrier confirms the package is lost (this process typically takes 7–10 business days).
5.3 Damaged Packages
If your package arrives with visible damage (e.g., torn box, crushed padding) or you find damage to the item inside (e.g., a chipped stoneware bowl, bent cookware handle):
- Take photos of the damaged packaging and item immediately (this is required for carrier claims).
- Contact us within 7 days of delivery at [email protected] with your order number and photos.
- We will arrange for a replacement item to be shipped (at no cost to you) or process a full refund—whichever you prefer. We may ask you to return the damaged item (we’ll provide a pre-paid label) to assist with carrier damage claims.
6. Order Tracking
Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a unique tracking number and a direct link to the carrier’s website. You can use this link to:
- Check real-time status (e.g., “in transit,” “out for delivery,” “held at carrier facility”).
- View the estimated delivery date (updated by the carrier as the package moves).
- Track the package’s location (e.g., which city it’s in, when it will arrive at the next facility).
If you do not receive the shipping confirmation email within 4 business days of placing your order (or 6 days during peak periods), check your spam folder—carrier links are sometimes filtered. If it’s not there, contact us at [email protected] with your order number, and we’ll resend the link.
